Infinity Generation Services Inc. is a certified Indigenous and Woman-Owned company that provides multi-trade contracting services to the clean energy sector across Ontario. We are growing rapidly and looking to add a full time General Labourer to our team at Pickering Nuclear Generating Station

POSITION OVERVIEW

• Load and unload construction materials, and move materials to work areas.

• General housekeeping and/or specialized cleaning.

• Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete.

• Assist tradespersons as required.

• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment, signal operators to guide them in moving equipment and provide assistance in other activities.

• Level earth to fine grade specifications using rake and shovel.

• Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows and other equipment.

• Operate pneumatic hammers, vibrators and tampers as directed.

• Clean up chemical spills and other contaminants (as trained).

• Direct traffic at or near construction sites.

• Perform other activities at construction sites, as directed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• 2-5 years' experience working in the construction industry in a General Labourer or Equipment Operator role.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to obtain a nuclear security clearance.

• Must be a member of Liuna or willing become a member.

• Willing to support local Indigenous community engagement initiatives

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Employee may be required to work extended hours, late evenings, weekend and holidays.

• Job will be based out of Darlington and Pickering and other project sites as assigned. Some travel may be required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• May be required to walk for long distances.

• May be required to sit or stand for long periods of time.

SALARY

• As per Liuna pay schedule

• Vacation and stat holiday pay
