Infinity Generation Services Inc. is a certified Indigenous and Woman-owned company that provides multi-trade contracting services to the clean energy sector across Ontario. We are growing rapidly and looking to add full time Electricians and Instrument & Control Technicians to our team for construction and maintenance projects in the nuclear industry.

Contract length: 4-6 months

Expected start date: Jan 2024

Job Type: Full-time, Contract

Base Salary: $45.00-$50.00 per hour (plus vacation pay)

Schedule:

  • 5 x 8 hour shifts or 4 x 10 hour shifts per week
  • Overtime as required
  • Day or afternoon shift

Job Location:

Pickering, Darlington, and Bruce County – Live out allowance and travel payment may be provided based on proximity to job site.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings, specifications, and applicable codes to determine wiring layouts
  • Cut, thread, bend, assemble and install conduits and other types of electrical conductor enclosures and fittings
  • Pull cable/wire through conduits and cable tray.
  • Position, maintain, and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, circuit breaker panels, and fuse enclosures
  • Install, replace, maintain, and repair electrical systems and related electrical equipment
  • Install and maintain instrumentation and control equipment
  • Splice, join and connect wire to form circuits
  • Testing and commissioning of electrical equipment
  • Install and maintain fibre optic and data cabling systems
  • Assist in talent aquisition and retention, and support in local Indigenous community engagement

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain a nuclear security clearance
  • Must be able to follow procedures and be detail-oriented
  • Must report to work “Fit for Duty”
  • Ability to work to company safety and code of conduct requirements
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Must be a member, or willing to become a member of CUSW (Canadian Union of Skilled Workers)
  • Attention to detail and have a high level of accuracy
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Mechanical ability, strength and manual dexterity
  • The ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, or radiological zones.
  • Candidates with in-depth knowledge and engagement experience with Indigenous communities strongly preferred.
